Fundraising Events

The SSA works tirelessly to raise funds to support the Spokane Symphony. As a result of our efforts last season, the Associates were able to donate $198,000 to the Annual Fund. This was presented to Executive Director Brenda Nienhouse, Music Director Eckart Preu, and Board President Maggie Crawford at a special presentation ceremony.

Fundraising Events for 2010-2011 Season

The following is a brief description of our upcoming fundraising projects:

SUMMER SOIREE AT BEACON HILL:
Our 6th Annual Soiree will be held on Thursday evening, September 9, 2009 at beautiful Beacon Hill, and features 30 wines from around the world to taste and purchase, delicious hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction of one-of-a-kind items and live music in the garden. A "don't miss" party to end the summer! All for only $35 per person if tickets are purchased by August 31 - $45 for tickets purchased later. Click for more information.

CHRISTMAS TREE ELEGANCE:
This dazzling festival of beautifully decked out Christmas Trees is the perfect way to begin the holiday season! This potpouri of events is the Associates' largest fundraiser in support of the Spokane Symphony. Enjoy tree viewing from November 30 until December 11 on the mezzanine of The Davenport Hotel, luncheons with Macy's Style Show, Gala Dinner Dance, tree raffles & more! Begins November 30, 2010.

LET'S PLAY FOR THE SYMPHONY:
Next year, this playful event will be on March 28, 2011, so be sure to save the date. Forte Plus Chapter has hosted this game day and luncheon at Manito Golf and Country Club, generally held in March, for 20 years. Friends get together to play bridge, mah jongg, scrabble, pinochle or other table games. Play commences at 10 AM and ends at 3 PM. The chapter serves lunch. BLOOM IN TUNE:

Each spring since 1984, the Bernstein Chapter takes over the sales duties at nursery for a day for a day and receives a percentage of the sales. This year, it will take place at Judy's Enchanted Garden (W. 2628 Northwest Blvd.) on  the Thursday before Mother's Day. Call Char at 458-8733 for more information.
